New CareConnections Site To Launch February 2012

2/9/2012

CareConnections will introduce its new web site on February 20, 2012. As mentioned in our previous news update, the revision will take away the system’s reliance on Microsoft Silverlight and will move to a standard ASP.net interface. Supported browsers will include up-to-date versions of Internet Explorer (8.0 or higher), FireFox (8.0 or higher), and Safari (5.0 or higher). The revised web interface will retain the structure introduced in the 2011 Silverlight version of CareConnections, with very small differences. Current users will find everything they are used to using in the same place as before.

Here are just a few of the updates you will find when you log into the new site.

  1. New Home Page – not only will the member site change, but the frontend web site will also be updated. Simply click on the “Client Login” link on the upper right-hand side of the page to log in to your account.
  2. Insurance Setup – insurance setup has been greatly simplified to display a list of all Payers and Plans available in CareConnections. Adding and removing insurances is as simple as checking and unchecking boxes next to associated insurances and saving your changes.
  3. Practitioner editing – under Treating or Referring Practitioner Setup, you may now edit the full name and NPI # for practitioners. Because some names are used by multiple clinics, name edits (with the exception of your display name and license for a practitioner) will be sent to CareConnections admin for approval.
  4. Additional registration validation – You will now notice additional validation prompts when entering outcomes data to help decrease the number of common data entry mistakes.

Throughout 2012, additional updates and modifications will be taking place with reporting and the launch of our Prior Advice/Authorization system (PAS), which will seamlessly integrate with the CareConnections web site. A preview of how things will look can be found in the newly revised user manual.
